Actor and Activist Tyree Conyers On Trial For Fraud

(DailyAnswer.org) – Actor and Black Lives Matter activist Tyree Conyers-Page is on trial for fraud.

The 35-year-old albino actor, who goes by the name of Sir Maejor Page, allegedly used a fundraising campaign to rake in hundreds of thousands of dollars that he spent on acquiring guns and a security system as well as a lavish lifestyle. The FBI’s Cleveland Division arrested Page on September 25, 2020, after a complaint on social media about the page for Black Lives Matter of Greater Atlanta, which Page set up as a nonprofit organization. Despite Page’s claims online, the BLMGA had its status as a tax-exempt charity revoked by the IRS in May 2019. Page had failed to submit the required IRS form for three consecutive years.

Page is not the first BLM member to be charged with fraud. In 2023, Xahra Saleem of London was sentenced to two-and-a-half years in jail for using tens of thousands from her organization’s funds to spend on a similarly luxurious lifestyle. The 23-year-old was the director of the Changing Your Mindset charity, which works to help the disadvantaged youth of Bristol. She also organized a protest on June 7, 2020, following the death of George Floyd in police custody. The Bristol protest culminated with protestors pulling down the statue of slave trader Edward Colston.

Saleem’s living expenses, on which she spent charitable funds, included hair and beauty appointments, clothes, take-out food, taxis, Amazon orders, and a new iPhone.

Page, who calls himself the “world’s sexiest albino,” spent $500,000 of donated money on suits, guns, and real estate. His lawyer claims the $100,000 property in Ohio was set to be turned into a shelter for abused women. Clips played in the U.S. District Court showed Page rapping about making six figures while he put on gold cufflinks. In other videos, he claimed to own 16 blue suits.

The actor was arrested in June 2016 when he caused a disturbance outside a Donald Trump event in Atlanta. In 2011, he was banned from the University of Toledo campus for harassing and menacing the office of the university’s president. Page faces federal charges of wire fraud and two counts of money laundering. He told his donors that none of the funds had been used for personal items and that they were being used in the “fight for George Floyd.” He also reportedly boasted about his acquired penthouse suite, saying it was “way up at the top” and that the “bottom feeders” were put on the bottom floors. The actor continues to assert his innocence.
