Biden Admits He Wants ‘More Orderly Flow’ Of Migrants Into U.S.

(DailyAnswer.org) – President Joe Biden has admitted that he is aiming for a “more orderly flow” of migrants from across the southern border into workplaces across the country, adding that migrants are “the reason the economy is growing.”

When speaking to left-leaning MSNB host Jonathan Capehart, Biden credited migrants with building the country and claimed that an orderly flow of them into the U.S. is needed to fuel economic growth. The statement explains the Biden administration’s lack of willingness to impede the northward flow of economic migrants from Latin America despite widespread opposition among many voters during the presidential election. Biden’s government has taken in at least seven million migrants as low-income workers and apartment sharers to boost the consumer economy.

In the interview with Capehart, the president expressed regret at referring to the killer of a university student as an illegal immigrant during his State of the Union Address. Biden used the term “illegal” after Trump ally and Republican Georgia Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene heckled him and demanded he recognize Georgia student Laken Riley, who was murdered on February 22, 2024. Jose Antonio Ibarra, an illegal immigrant from Venezuela who entered the U.S. in 2022, was charged with the killing.

Biden said to Capehart that he should have called Ibarra an “undocumented” rather than an “illegal” immigrant and vowed not to disrespect migrants with his choice of words. Biden stressed the difference between his rhetoric and that of Trump’s, claiming the former president speaks about migrants as if they are “vermin.” Biden’s comment in the speech was slated by some Democrats, such as Minnesota Representative Ilhan Omar, who was born in Somalia and argued that “no human being is illegal.”

Marjorie Taylor Greene called for Omar to be deported in January after slating her controversial comments about Somalia and accused her of prioritizing the security of Somalia’s border while the U.S. deals with an immigration crisis.

Wall Street investors are a significant factor in the Biden administration, and they benefit from the government bringing in workers, renters, and consumers from poorer Latin American countries. Undocumented migrants arrive with smuggling debts to pay off, and as they settle, they push up the price of housing. The Department of Homeland Security Secretary called for a “workable system” and claimed that the country needed “responsible governance” to fulfill a labor need and better ensure the safe passage of migrants into the country.
