(DailyAnswer.org) – Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) slammed the corporate press after companies appear to be rallying the wagons around the latest Democratic candidate for president. DeSantis suggested coverage surrounding Harris was going to feature “a blizzard of lies” despite the country being in the middle of the summer season.
Harris has become the darling of the corporate press and big tech companies after inheriting the role as presumptive Democratic nominee for the presidency from President Joe Biden after he withdrew from the contest on July 21. Biden’s disastrous debate performance and an assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump resulted in a total flop of Biden’s numbers, which were poor for months prior.
The swap to Harris seems to have reinvigorated the Democratic party and its acolytes, with recent polling conveniently showing Trump and Harris neck-and-neck despite previous polling which showed her substantially behind Trump. Whether the new polls are accurate is up to the perspicacious reader, but both Democrats and Republicans rally their bases when the contest is close.
DeSantis highlighted Harris’ record on inflation and the southern border crisis as being particularly damaging to her campaign. He noted that the corporate press had already attempted to revise history by eliminating references to Harris holding the title of “border czar.” They’re also actively eliminating or revising the extremely left position she had on an entire range of policies.
Harris’ position on fracking, for instance, has changed dramatically from her 2020 bid. She was in favor of banning the practice, but now has changed her mind and any references to her wanting to ban it by the Trump campaign have been characterized as lies.
DeSantis said that the media was working overtime to present Harris as a viable candidate who is popular with voters, despite her bizarre cackling laugh and radical communist rhetoric.
DeSantis added that Harris is bound to the Biden administration’s failures.
