Diddy’s Party Invites Extended to Prince William and Harry

(DailyAnswer.org) – Sean “Diddy” Combs always saw himself as more than just a music mogul—he fancied himself royalty. According to Rob Shuter, his former publicist, Diddy was obsessed with Prince William and Prince Harry. “He thought of himself as a king,” Shuter told the BBC. “So, of course, he wanted two real princes in his crew.”

Between 2002 and 2004, while Shuter worked for him, Diddy reportedly asked more than ten times for Shuter to invite the British princes to his parties. He even offered to cover their travel, hotel stays, and personal security. Diddy also framed pictures of William and Harry in his New York apartment. Despite his efforts, though, the princes never took him up on those invites. Back then, turning down an invite to one of Diddy’s parties was unusual. His events were the hottest tickets around, filled with A-list celebrities from music, Hollywood, and beyond.

One of Diddy’s most famous traditions was hosting “White Parties,” where all guests had to dress in white. These lavish events started in the Hamptons in 1998 and continued until 2009, with some taking place at his mansion in Beverly Hills. But the glitz came with chaos. Neighbors in Beverly Hills frequently called the police because of noise complaints and unruly behavior. According to one neighbor, women often left Diddy’s mansion confused, sitting on the street with no idea where they were.

Shuter explained that Diddy used these parties to stay in the spotlight. “He was obsessed with being at the center of everything,” he said. “Diddy’s hobby was Diddy. From morning till night, that’s all he thought about.”

Though Shuter claimed he never witnessed sexual misconduct directly, he acknowledged the power imbalance Diddy thrived on. He also noted the constant presence of armed security around Diddy, saying, “You don’t get to be Diddy without being buttoned up.”

Now, Diddy’s party days are long over. Since September 16, he’s been held in jail without bail, facing serious charges, including sex trafficking, kidnapping, and racketeering. In addition to the criminal case, over 120 civil lawsuits are being filed against him and his associates, with accusations spanning from 1991 to 2024.

One lawsuit alleges Diddy sexually assaulted a man at Macy’s in 2008. Another claims he made a 16-year-old boy undress at a White Party in 1998. A different lawsuit accuses Diddy of raping a woman with a remote control in 2018 after she confronted him about the murder of Tupac Shakur.

“He wanted to be the most famous person in the world,” Shuter reflected. “And, ironically, now he is.”
