Elon Musk Named Secretary of Cost-Cutting by Trump

(DailyAnswer.org) – Former President Donald Trump announced over the weekend that if he wins next month’s election, Elon Musk will be given a new role in his administration: “Secretary of Cost-Cutting.” Trump made this statement during an interview with Maria Bartiromo on Fox News’ Sunday Morning Futures. When asked about what government agencies he would like to shut down, Trump pivoted to talking about Musk and his business skills.
“Well, I’ll let Elon answer that,” Trump said. “He’s dying to get involved. He’s a great businessman, really.”

Trump continued by praising Musk’s work in science and technology. “People think of him for rockets and tech, but he’s always talking to me about these tiny details, like screws. He’s developed a new screw made out of titanium. It’s amazing.”

The former president emphasized Musk’s talent for saving money without causing any harm. “He’s a fantastic cost-cutter, and you’ve seen it. He told me he could cut costs without hurting anyone,” Trump added.

Interestingly, Trump noted that Musk doesn’t want a traditional cabinet position. “He doesn’t want to be part of the cabinet,” Trump explained. “He’s got a big business to run. He can’t just join the cabinet like other people. But he wants to take on cost-cutting. So, we’ll create a new position for him—Secretary of Cost-Cutting.”

Trump went on to share an ambitious promise Musk made: getting humans to Mars before China or Russia. According to Trump, Musk said he could make it happen before Trump’s next term would end, should he win.

Trump’s remarks seem to highlight Musk’s reputation as an innovator and businessman, while also teasing bold plans for space exploration. Whether or not this new role for Musk ever comes to be, Trump clearly sees him as an important figure for cutting waste and driving the U.S. forward in science and technology. It’s an unconventional idea, but Trump is known for thinking outside the box, and this partnership could be the next chapter in government efficiency.
