Joe Rogan Claims Kamala Harris Threatens First Amendment Rights

(DailyAnswer.org) – This week, Joe Rogan warned that if Vice President Kamala Harris wins the presidential election, the First Amendment could be in danger. According to Rogan, both Harris and her running mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, have extreme views that could lead to more restrictions on free speech.

Rogan made these comments on his show, “The Joe Rogan Experience,” while speaking with former U.S. Navy SEAL Shawn Ryan. He expressed concern about the political Left’s ongoing efforts to control speech. “If Kamala Harris gets into office, I don’t think things get better. I think they clamp down more,” Rogan said. He believes that, just like how they tried to censor Twitter, they’ll find new ways to go after other platforms too. “They’ve already openly discussed it,” he added.

Rogan pointed out that Harris has said the same rules should apply to social media giants like Facebook and Twitter, and that Elon Musk could even lose his ability to run Twitter if he doesn’t comply with their demands. He also criticized Governor Walz, claiming that Walz believes the First Amendment doesn’t apply to “misinformation” or “hate speech.”

Rogan disagreed strongly with that idea, explaining that the First Amendment exists to protect all speech, including speech that might be incorrect. He was especially alarmed by how the government handled the COVID-19 pandemic, using it as an excuse to silence people who questioned its authority.

One example Rogan brought up was the controversy over masks. He reminded his listeners that in the early days of the pandemic, Dr. Anthony Fauci himself said masks weren’t necessary. Later, the advice changed, and people were told to wear two masks. Rogan found it scary how quickly people accepted this change. “It’s bananas how easily people fell in line,” he said. “That scared me the most.”

In the end, Rogan believes that the First Amendment is in real danger if Harris and Walz gain power, and that more efforts to control speech will follow.
