Set aside your party loyalty, just this one time, and vote for the Democrats. According to Behar, this is the only way to prevent former President Donald Trump from returning to the White House.
The conversation on the show began with the panel discussing former GOP Congresswoman Liz Cheney, who recently endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris. Cheney, a Republican herself, has been clear about her opposition to Trump. Behar joined in, encouraging other Republicans to follow Cheney’s lead and vote for the Democrats in the upcoming election. “Do it this one time,” Behar said. “Vote for the Democrat to save the country.”

As the conversation continued, Sunny Hostin, another co-host, admitted she had been critical of Liz Cheney in the past because Cheney supported Trump most of the time. However, Hostin said she had changed her mind after seeing Cheney’s willingness to break with her party over Trump. Hostin also praised Vice President Harris for being open to working with Republicans, even suggesting that Cheney could be part of Harris’ cabinet if she becomes president.
Finally, Ana Navarro shared her own experience of switching parties in 2016 when she voted for Hillary Clinton. She recognized how difficult it is for lifelong Republicans like Cheney to take such a stand.
