Kamala Lowers 2024 Expectations for Democrats

(DailyAnswer.org) – Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign is getting a significant boost by corporate media and big tech companies, but many are wondering if it will be enough to give her the edge to beat former President Donald Trump.

Harris was selected by President Joe Biden, or whomever writes his content, in a letter announcing his withdrawal from the 2024 presidential contest following a disastrous debate performance against Trump in late June. A bout with a respiratory virus and major calls from money-men in the party for him to step aside for another candidate followed and coincided with an assassination attempt targeting Trump on July 13.

Famed podcaster Joe Rogan speculated that she could win and expressed his confusion over the flip from Harris being incredibly unpopular with voters to suddenly being everywhere in the corporate press. Rogan highlighted the removal of negative stories about her from the internet as well as Google redirecting users to stories about her whenever they search for Trump-related content.

Harris has had repeated gaffes during media appearances and hasn’t yet sat for an interview since becoming the heir apparent for the Democratic nomination. Eventually, she’ll have to face Trump in a debate and she’ll have to engage with members of the media. She can only give scripted teleprompter-enabled speeches written for her for so long.

Independents shy away from Harris, with just 39% saying she’s qualified for the role of president. Many registered voters believe there’s a health-related issue with Biden which is why he stepped down and that Harris was involved and agreed to conceal the truth.

Even Democrat Gov. Steve Sisolak (NV) told the corporate press that Harris’ sudden popularity was “a honeymoon phase.” Meanwhile leaks from the Democratic leadership suggest most party bosses aren’t thrilled with her as the candidate. Even Barack Obama refused to endorse her immediately and signaled his interest in a process that would select a new nominee.

Nothing is finalized until the convention; if Harris fails to perform as desired, there’s no reason the Democrats couldn’t just swap her out for another candidate.
