(DailyAnswer.org) – A man who seems to have been the driver of an ATV during an attack on a Trump supporter was found dead of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. Joshua Kemppainen was only 22 years old and was found dead in Quincy, Michigan after sending a message to the Hancock City Police Department stating his intention to confess to ATV-related incidents and asked police to meet him at his home.
When police arrived, however, they found the man dead and initial investigations suggest it was a suicide. Deputies at the scene located a proverbial treasure trove of evidence suggesting the individual was responsible for politically-motivated crimes using an ATV which targeted Trump supporters.
Kemppainen is believed to be responsible for a crime spree on July 21 which involved using his ATV to hit an 80-year-old man who was putting up a Trump sign in his front yard. The victim was hospitalized and released after being treated for serious injuries. There were two additional crimes where vehicles were vandalized that bore either Trump flair or stickers that advertised support for law enforcement.
Hancock Police Chief Tami Sleeman said the crimes were caught on video and evidence suggesting Kemppainen was responsible was found at his address including the ATV, clothing, and helmet worn by the attacker the week prior. She said that the FBI had assisted in the investigation which had taxed their relatively small police department.
Sleeman added that political violence is completely unnecessary and unAmerican and stated her disappointment that things are so tense right now.
The incidents betray a stunning rise in crime against former President Donald Trump and his supporters. On July 13, 20-year-old Thomas Crooks opened fire hitting Trump in the ear at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. Crooks killed one man attending the rally and injured two others before being killed himself by counter-snipers. Despite claiming Trump and the GOP are totalitarians or fascists, left-wing lunatics seem to be the ones willing to use violence to enforce their political will.
