Over 300,000 Migrants Flown Into The U.S. In One Year

(DailyAnswer.org) – According to records, an unbelievable number of migrants fly to the U.S. each year by obtaining documents needed for entry via the “CBP One” mobile app. Todd Bensman from the Center for Immigration Studies obtained the records through a Freedom of Information lawsuit and found that the Department of Homeland Security let approximately 320,000 migrants into the country in 2023 who scheduled their own flights after acquiring the necessary documentation. Bensman revealed that migrants were flown into 43 U.S. airports last year.

The Biden Administration admitted to transporting the migrants on “secret” flights into the country, and lawyers for its immigration agencies argued that revealing the locations could put national security at risk. Customs and Border Protection refused to share crucial information about the program that flew the undocumented immigrants directly to American cities from foreign airports. The findings are another blow to the Biden administration and its immigration policies leading up to the election, in addition to the escalating crisis on the southern border.

President Joe Biden’s administration resumed secret flights of migrants to New York City in 2022 after suspending them the previous year following an exposé in the New York Post. It has denied that it is secretly flying illegal immigrants into the U.S. and argued that the scheme is designed to reduce illegal immigration. Policy director at the American Immigration Council, Aaron Reichlin-Melnick, dismissed claims that migrants were unvetted and said claims that they were illegal aliens were “flagrantly wrong.”

House Republicans have demanded Biden terminate the flights. Following the State of the Union Assembly, Republican South Carolina Representative Russell Fry, along with 22 other Republican lawmakers, requested in a letter to Troy Miller, acting director of US Customs and Border Protection, that the government cease the secret flights to the 43 cities. DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas has refused to answer a request from Republican Ohio Representative Jim Jordan and Republican California Representative Tom McClintock to release a complete numerical accounting of all migrants released by the agency into the interior of the U.S. since 2021.
