(DailyAnswer.org) – A teen has been arrested in New Hampshire for allegedly tipping over a porta-potty with a mother and her 4-year-old daughter inside.
Aiden Studer, 18, reportedly entered an argument with the woman near the portable toilet at Derryfield Park in Manchester, New Hampshire on May 8. The mother and her daughter were then trapped inside the toppled porta-potty with excrement. As the teen allegedly pushed the toilet from behind after the mother entered it to assist her daughter, the pair were trapped inside and unable to open it due to the door being against the ground. According to the Manchester Police Department, the mother and daughter were found covered in bodily fluid and feces.
Bystanders who witnessed the incident rushed to help the pair, and Studer reportedly threw an object at police officers when they arrived. The teen is not believed to have known the mother or her daughter before the argument occurred. Studer was arrested and has been charged with simple assault of a police officer, criminal mischief and criminal restraint.
In November 2023 a porta-potty was used to catch a criminal when golfers toppled one in Wisconsin to trap a suspected thief being pursued by Wisconsin police. The suspect was one of four individuals wanted in connection with a car theft, and wound up trapped in the portable toilet covered in feces, before police took him and another of his alleged accomplices into custody.
The 76-acre Derryfield Park is located on Manchester’s east side. According to the city, the park is well-known for its new playground, its fields and its trails. The mother and daughter did not receive any injuries in the incident. The dangers of portable toilets that make them easy targets for bullying and antisocial behavior have been highlighted along with the risks the sewage poses to public health in such incidents. A teen was charged in Delaware in 2006 over a similar toilet-tipping prank that left a bus driver paralyzed.
