(DailyAnswer.org) – Ryan Wesley Routh, a man suspected of attempting to assassinate Donald Trump, allegedly offered $150,000 to anyone who could “complete the job.” The Justice Department revealed this after receiving a letter from a witness.
According to reports, this witness found the letter months ago in a box but didn’t open it until after hearing about Routh’s failed attempt to kill Trump on September 14, 2024, in Palm Beach. Inside the box, there were several letters, including one addressed to the world. This particular letter appeared to be an apology for not succeeding in killing the former president. It also offered a reward for anyone willing to finish the task.
The letter read: “This was an assassination attempt on Donald Trump, but I am so sorry I failed you.”
“I tried my best and gave it all the effort I could. It is up to you now to finish the job, and I will offer $150,000 to whomever can complete the job,” the letter continued.
It went on to claim that people everywhere, young and old, know Trump is unfit for any leadership role, let alone president. The letter described what the writer believed a U.S. president should be: someone moral, kind, and always standing for humanity.
In the wake of this, Florida has launched its own investigation into the assassination attempt. Governor Ron DeSantis has voiced concerns over a lack of cooperation from federal authorities. Last week, DeSantis spoke with Lara Ingraham, saying, “They’re not being cooperative,” when asked if the federal government was providing information.
He also mentioned that state investigators were blocked from even approaching Trump’s property, despite what he said were clear violations of Florida law across multiple regions. DeSantis promised that Florida would continue its investigation, citing a responsibility to bring charges where necessary and to keep the public informed about what took place.
Transparency, DeSantis emphasized, is key in this matter.
