(DailyAnswer.org) – It’s strange how quickly people can shift gears. Just a short time ago, Michelle Obama and Vice President Kamala Harris warned us that a Donald Trump presidency would be catastrophic. Women would suffer, democracy would crumble, and America as we know it would be unrecognizable. Yet now, as Trump edges closer to officially taking office again, neither of them seems particularly worried.
Take Michelle Obama, for instance. Once, she was adamant that Trump’s leadership posed a dire threat to the nation. Now? She’s busy promoting her new book, chatting about Netflix projects, and casually mentioning her husband’s quirks on talk shows. She recently joked about Barack being a penny-pincher who’s more focused on his golf game than world politics. If the end of democracy is coming, it certainly doesn’t seem to be keeping her up at night.
During a recent interview, Michelle even set some boundaries: no political questions. This is after she called the last election “the most important in history.” Instead of discussing the supposedly looming crisis, she’s all about branding and holiday cheer. At the Obama household, it’s business as usual—and apparently, so is the shopping for stocking stuffers.
Then there’s Kamala Harris. The vice president has repeatedly described Trump as a threat to everything America stands for. But as the reality of his return looms, she doesn’t look panicked. In fact, she seems downright cheerful. Smiling and laughing during public appearances, Harris appears to have moved on, even as she and the Democrats prepare to hand the keys of power back to their so-called “tyrant.”
It raises an interesting question: Were all those dire warnings just political theater? Michelle and Kamala’s current attitudes suggest life isn’t as dire as they once claimed. If Trump’s return really is as apocalyptic as they’ve said, shouldn’t their behavior reflect that?
For now, it seems their focus has shifted—away from fear and toward something a little more… profitable. Life, as they say, goes on.
