(DailyAnswer.org) – Former President Donald Trump stirred up some excitement in both political and wrestling circles last week by appearing on WWE legend The Undertaker’s podcast. With the 2024 presidential race between Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris heating up, even wrestling icons are weighing in.
Mick Foley, a three-time WWE champion known for his wild matches, didn’t hold back his thoughts on Trump. In a video posted on Instagram, Foley criticized the former president, saying it’s time for people to realize that Trump has long outstayed his welcome.
“For me, enough was enough eight years ago,” Foley said. “The Undertaker was right—Trump did make politics fun for about three weeks in 2016. But now, there’s absolutely nothing fun about this man.”
Foley also expressed concern about Trump’s rhetoric, especially his repeated use of the phrase “the enemy within.” “This is no accident,” Foley said. “He keeps saying it, and it’s clear this is part of his message. That’s not what we need from someone running for president.”
Foley’s frustrations ran deeper, criticizing Americans who still support Trump. “It’s just amazing that people don’t see through him,” Foley said, calling Trump “an obvious con man.” Foley also took a swipe at Trump’s support for the Supreme Court, naming justices Clarence Thomas, Samuel Alito, and Brett Kavanaugh.
“So, what now? Is Trump going to lock me up for calling out his Supreme Court picks?” Foley joked. “Thomas is a disgrace, Alito’s just awful, and Kavanaugh wouldn’t even get hired to wash dishes, let alone sit on the Supreme Court for life.”
Foley, who also threw his support behind Harris and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, urged voters to “choose wisely.”
Trump’s ties to wrestling are long-standing—his Atlantic City casino hosted WrestleMania IV and V, and he famously shaved WWE owner Vince McMahon’s head in a 2007 match. Trump is even a member of the WWE Hall of Fame.
While Trump holds a narrow lead in some national polls, Harris has the edge in key battleground states, making this race one to watch as Election Day draws near.
Who will win? Voters will soon have to decide.
