Black Voters Show Their Support For Trump

(DailyAnswer.org) – Former President Donald Trump met enthusiastic supporters on his campaign trail at Chick-fil-A in Atlanta, Georgia, where he ordered 30 milkshakes and chicken for everyone. In a video, Trump is shown ordering the items and saying his team will take care of the customers before asking how business is going. Trump reportedly picked up the tab for all customers at the restaurant. He visited the establishment while on a campaign stop for a fundraising luncheon in the state.

Trump was filmed meeting a black woman at the restaurant, who declared her support for him regardless of what the media said. She accepted an offer from the 2024 presidential candidate to give her a hug. In addition to speaking to the staff and customers, Trump took photos with guests and signed a hat.

The viral image of Trump hugging the black supporter is another blow to the narrative pushed by left-wing media outlets and many Democrats that the Republican is a racist and unpopular with black voters. Trump caused controversy in February when he suggested at the South Carolina primary that black voters liked him because of his mugshot. He got a good response from black voters at the event despite the comments, however, and polls and reports suggest that traditionally pro-Democratic black voters are abandoning President Joe Biden in favor of Trump.

A black conservative activist and former Georgia Republican staffer, Michaelah Montgomery, ensured that the restaurant would be well attended ahead of the former president’s arrival. The founder of Conserve the Culture, which recruits students and graduates from Atlanta’s historically black universities, said she received immediate interest from students in meeting with the president.

Bill White, a businessman and longtime friend of Trump, commented that the restaurant was a “beautifully selected” location that had a powerful impact. He called the day a “resounding success” for the presidential candidate, noting how much Trump resonates with everyone. Biden campaign representative Jasmine Harris criticized the visit, calling Trump’s gesture of handing out free, fast food “another insult” to the intelligence of black voters.
